Government extends KCC facility to fisheries, animal husbandry sector
Kisan Credit Card is a credit scheme introduced in August 1998 by Indian banks. This model scheme was prepared by the National Bank for Agriculture and Development (NABARD) on the recommendations of R.V. Gupta committee to provide term loans and meet agricultural needs.

India’s longest electrified railway tunnel commissioned
It is situated between Cherlopalli and Rapuru stations in Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh which are a part of 113 km railway line between Obulavaripalli – Venkatachalam – Krishnapatnam Port. It is constructed in the shape of a Horse Shoe.
New Australian Tunnelling Method (NATM) was used in construction.
