Brazil won the Copa America2019 title

Brazil won its first Copa America2019 title since 2007. It defeated Peru and secured 3-1. The team already owns the fifth and ninth Copa América trophy.  The event was hosted by Brazil.

The 2019 Copa América was the 46th edition of the Copa América, the international men’s association football championship. It was founded in 1916 organised by CONMEBOL south american body.

UNESCO’s World heritage list

Budj Bim Cultural Landscape in south-west Victoriahas received UNESCO’s World heritage list. It is the first in Australia to be in the list. 

Budj Bim Cultural Landscape is marked for its Aboriginal cultural importance .

It is considered as one of the oldest aquaculture sites in the world.

Uranium enrichment cap

Iran breached a uranium enrichment cap set by a troubled 2015 nuclear deal and warned Europe against taking retaliatory measures. 

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed Iran enriched uranium to a level above the deal’s cap. 

IOC removed Kuwait suspension

Kuwait suspended in October 2015 following under government interference with the basic principles that govern the Olympic Movement.

International Olympic Committee (IOC) removed the ban on the Kuwait Olympic Committee (KOC) and permitted to compete in the 2020 Olympics.

Utkarsh 2022 

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) board has finalized Utkarsh 2022.

Motive is medium term strategy, to improve regulation and supervision, among other functions of the central bank and also  to avoid any crisis like the IL&FS debt default issue and the crisis of confidence the non-banking financial sector.

Sri Lanka inaugurated its first model village

Model village built with the Indian assistance as part of a housing project meant for war-affected people and estate workers inaugurated in Sri Lanka.

It consists of a total of 2,400 houses all across Sri Lanka.
The Indian grant of Rs 1,200 million (USD 17.5 million).

ISRO signs contract with Glavkosmos

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), has signed a contract with Glavkosmos, a Russian company. The agreement aims for the selection support, medical examination and space training of Indian astronauts for the country’s proposed maiden manned space mission Gaganyaan.

Glavkosmos was established in 1985 and headquartered in Moscow, Russia.

It is a Russian launch service provide. It functions under the state corporation Roscosmos.

Some Information about Gaganyaan Mission:
Gaganyaan is an Indian crewed orbital spacecraft. The mission is intended to be the basis of the Indian Human Spaceflight Programme. 

Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu released a book

Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu released a book titled Vivekadeepini, a concise book of aphorisms.

Vivekadeepini is a summary of Prashnottara Ratnamalika written by Adi Shankaracharya. 

Some information about Adi Shankaracharya :

He is an 8th century (788 AD) Indian philosopher and theologian.

He is associated with Maya Theory, Advaita Vedanata (Non-Dualism), Tarak Brahma. 


His books are Bhashya- commentaries on Gita and other texts, Prakaran Granths.


He founded Dashanami Sampradaya, Hindu monastic tradition of single-staff renunciation.

Operation Sudarshan 

Border Security Force (BSF) launched Operation Sudarshan, a massive exercise, with an aim to fortify the anti-infiltration grid along the Pakistan border in Punjab and Jammu. 

 It will cover the entire 1,000-km length of the India-Pakistan International Border. Jammu shares about 485 km of the border with Pakistan, about 553 km of the front is in Punjab.

Border Security Force is one of the seven Central Armed Police Forces of India. It is the primary border defence organisation of India. It aims to ensure the security of the borders of India.

Prosecco hills added to UNESCO World Heritage list

Italy’s Prosecco hills northeast of Venice cultivated for centuries added to the World Heritage list by the UN cultural Organization.

The grapes produce the famous prosecco sparkling wine are grown which has the highest classification available to Italian wine.
